What is Seal Strip?

Seal strips (also called wiper strips) are elastic sealing components installed at the press inlet. Their main function is to prevent powder from leaking at the steel belt edges during pressing, ensuring product quality and reducing material waste.

  • Installed on both sides of belt entrance
  • Precision fit with steel belt for sealing
  • Regular replacement needed for best results

Selection Guide

How to Choose the Right Seal Strip

How to Select Correct Specification

  1. Confirm Model: First identify your SACMI press model (PCR2120/2000/2180/3000)
  2. Measure Width: Measure the actual pressing width
  3. Match Code: Select corresponding code based on width (12-LR = 120mm width, etc.)
  4. Confirm Quantity: One set includes left and right strips

Installation Notes

  • ⚠️ Ensure belt surface is clean before installation
  • ⚠️ Install in correct direction (usually has direction marks)
  • ⚠️ Tighten with moderate force to avoid deformation
  • ⚠️ Check sealing effect after installation

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about seal strip procurement

How often should seal strips be replaced?

+

Service life depends on operating intensity and environment. Generally, inspection and replacement every 6-12 months is recommended. Replace when sealing effect decreases, wear is obvious, or cracks appear.

How to tell if seal strips need replacement?

+

Watch for: 1) Powder leaking from edges during pressing; 2) Visible wear, cracks, or deformation on strips; 3) Noticeably reduced hardness. Replace promptly if any of these occur.

What does one set of seal strips include?

+

One set includes left and right strips (symmetrically installed). Upper and lower belts each need one set, so full replacement requires two sets.

Are seal strips and wiper strips the same?

+

Yes, seal strips, wiper strips, and wiper seals all refer to the same component, just with different regional or industry terminology.
